speakbooks7This page was opened in September of 2002 as a free public service to teach children to read with phonics. Their systematic phonics approach, in conjunction with phonemic awareness practice, is perfect for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, special education, homeschool, and English language development (ELD, ELL, ESL). Starfall is an educational alternative to other entertainment choices for children.

It is divided into 4 sections that I presents below

Starfall’s ABC section teaches letter-sound that focuses on each letter of the alphabet. This explicit instruction is most effective in kindergarten and for ESL and special education students when it is combined with exercises in phonemic awareness.

With 15 useful books to start reading with phonemes plus other activities where children will have lots of fun:
Zac the Rat
Peg the Hen
The Big Hit
Mox’s Shop
Gus the Duck
Jake’s Tale
Pete’s Sheep
Sky Ride
Robot and Mr. Mole
Dune Buggy
Soap Boat
Car Race
My Horse Glory
Surfer Girl
My Family

It’s next step to the previous one: “Learn to read” Here you will have interactive games at the same time your children learn

As you see is next step to previous one: this section is divided into 6 more. But if you clich on each one you will find more than 40 titles, all of them with audio and images.

Pearson free ebooks

Here you will find 30 free reading ebooks arranged in order of reading difficulty. Some things to take into account are:
1.- The nice and exciting pictures and  the extra activities (not for all of the titles) .
2.- Many books have also audio, above all, till year 4.
3.- You can use them in the whiteboard because all of them have a pencil  to circle or underline words or structures and, of course,  a rubber.
Below I leave more indications about each level .
